Logistics is more than just side topic for the renewable energy power industry. A lot of money can be served or also wasted here. A solar park with a capacity of 25MW requires around 250 containers which can only be moved using designated lifting equipment like cranes, forklift trucks, etc.

In maritime logistics such extended logistics concepts have long been standard. The potential customer secure access to rescue or towing capacities through availability contracts have a running time of several days to a week. But it is not the case that the shipping companies actually reverse a ship and a crew for each contract. Each deal is much too uncertain for this and depends on many external factors.

Identifying the true size of this potential is the subject of a study by SerajEnergy.
